| 291654 | Tom Beasley | Voice Magazine | Rotten | — | 3 days ago | 2026-10-16 13:43:00 | It’s a bold, fascinating swing of a movie and I’m broadly quite glad it exists, but I didn’t enjoy watching it at all. |
| 291653 | Damien Straker | Impulse Gamer | Fresh | 3/5 | 3 days ago | 2026-10-16 13:43:00 | Digger is visually arresting. It is best enjoyed as an off-kilter experiment that does not quite work but is intriguing enough on its own weird terms. |
| 291652 | Thelma Adams | AARP Movies for Grownups | Fresh | 3/5 | 3 days ago | 2026-10-16 13:43:00 | Iñárritu takes big swings, and here he dares to evoke iconic works such as Citizen Kane and Dr. Strangelove. But Digger, bedazzled with the production design and theatrical effects a big budget can buy, can’t match those films’ originality or bite. |
| 291660 | Jason Escamilla | EskimoTV | Fresh | B- | 4 days ago | 2026-10-15 13:43:00 | Wildly ambitious and visually striking, Digger doesn’t always work, but its audacious twist and unsettling finale make it far more interesting to discuss than to simply watch. |

| 291656 | Matt Neal | ABC Radio (Australia) | Fresh | 4/5 | 4 days ago | 2026-10-15 13:43:00 | I can appreciate why people hate this movie. It seems like an utterly reasonable response. I wasn't sure if I liked it for the majority of its run time. |

Cynically, it's about not fighting back and not trying to stop the catastrophe. Cynically, it's about accepting defeat. |

The film's central point is one worth revisiting: the planet is screwed, and cinema is far from the best solution, yet we still keep making movies. [Full review in Spanish] |

But so what? Digger doesn’t know, which might be entirely the point. |

Utilizing an innovative, character-driven narrative, it evokes memories of 'Dr Strangelove' & "Megalopolis,' exploring the complexities of corporate power & societal collapse. |

I’d hoped Iñárritu would shock us by countering Hollywood’s communist-spawned global warming narrative. This tepid Paul Thomas Anderson knock-off does none of the above. |

The people who hate it, really hate it. The people who love it really love it. I prefer to start a new camp. The "I don’t need to watch it again" camp. |

Loud comedy without wit so get louder and remind people this is satire while an ironic meta commentary looms suggesting Inarritu’s story would have been better told starting at the end. |
